I think of myself as a digital creator because I only create content online vs a content creator that can publish both online and offline for magazines, brochures, etc.
As far as influencers, they can still make money online as digital creators do but they typically leverage their social media following to influence and promote products. They don’t necessarily focus on creating content the way that digital creators do.
As far as the different income avenues, there are many ways that you can get started but it takes time. For myself, I like the concept of affiliate marketing because it feels much more natural to me.
I don’t feel like I am trying to “sell” something but rather talk about experiences, help educate, or just provide as much value as possible.
It can also lead to other possibilities as well like consulting or offering online services. But just like most things, it takes time to build.
Keep creating and publishing. Remember that monetization is a by-product of the value that you give. Build the skillsets, keep practicing, and stay consistent. You’ll get there!
